Burlesque, cabaret and performance photography

Performance photography happens on somebody else’s terms. The lighting, the timing and the costume are set by the show, and the job is catching the moment it lands. A portrait is the reverse. The room is mine, there is time, and we build the image together. Most performers end up wanting both.
