On celebrating Londoners with Indian and South Asian heritage.
The one that went viral. BollyDitz Dolly’s Baignade Interdite is a celebration of her Indian heritage in my bathtub, a place where she is safe to be herself and honour her roots however she pleases. The idea was to bring the Ganges to London.
It took me 90 minutes to build this set, using red velvet on sticky hooks against the wall, an emergency blanket for the gold and all my plants. The shoot itself took 30 minutes.
