On premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
Kitty Underhill was my second model with PMDD. It’s a theme I had already explored with Luna Lussuria, but since PMDD isn’t well known, it seemed worth going further. During the shoot we talked about the moment PMDD switches on, and how we spend our good days dreading the bad days.
Follicular Kitty is having a relaxing bath, completely unaware of Luteal Kitty looming over her, ready to pounce. This is what PMDD feels like: it jumps on you without warning and destroys everything. Luteal Kitty doesn’t come empty-handed. She brings depression, paranoia, insomnia, mood swings and suicidal thoughts, and she leaves a mess you’ll have to clean up before she comes back. Because she will.
This is my first ever clone composite. I set up the tripod, Kitty did two poses, and I blended them in Photoshop, using a technique I learned in uni video classes 17 years ago. PMDD affects around 1 in 20 people who menstruate.
