On endometriosis ruining countless lives and still being dubbed “painful periods”.
Goth queen Esh came for a bath, so of course I needed to turn my bathroom into a cemetery. Esh is a talented jeweller. She has endometriosis, and has lost years of her life to debilitating pain while being routinely dismissed and ignored by doctors. This is a cemetery for her and for everyone else who suffers from it.
Endometriosis ruins lives. It leaves people with wombs in pain that is often described as worse than a heart attack or childbirth, we lose so many years to a condition that still has no cure, and it affects around 1 in 10 women, about as many as diabetes. This photo is a loud reminder.
